Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 27, 2026
This policy explains how Minasty handles information when you play on our network, browse our website, contact support, or use our connected services.
1. Who handles your information
Minasty’s operating team is responsible for the information it collects to run this network. This policy covers our use of that information. Separate providers, including Microsoft, Discord, and Tebex, are responsible for their own services and explain their practices in their own privacy notices.
2. Information we receive
- Player identity: Minecraft usernames, Java UUIDs, Bedrock identifiers such as XUIDs where supplied by our crossplay connection, and account links you choose to establish.
- Connection and technical information: IP addresses, connection times, client or protocol details, server errors, and security logs. Website requests can include browser information, requested pages, and referrer information.
- Gameplay and moderation: world progress, inventories, permissions, block changes, commands, chat records, reports, anti-abuse signals, punishment history, and related evidence, according to the features you use.
- Support and community information: contact details, Discord identifiers if supplied, ticket content, attachments, and correspondence you send us.
- Store information: order identifiers, purchased benefits, delivery status, and relevant customer or transaction details made available by Tebex for fulfillment and support. Payment details are entered into the checkout provider’s system; do not send them to Minasty staff.
- Recordings: screenshots and video of gameplay, which may include usernames, skins, builds, and visible chat.
Information comes from you, your connection to our services, game and account systems, our service providers, and reports from other players. Do not include sensitive personal information in a username, build, chat message, or report unless it is necessary to resolve your request.
Staff website accounts also include an email address, Minecraft identity, password hash, encrypted two-factor credentials, section permissions, invitation records, and an audit trail of account and content changes.
3. How we use it
We use information to connect your account, save gameplay, deliver permissions and purchased benefits, answer support requests, investigate abuse, operate backups, and diagnose problems. We also use gameplay information to understand how the network performs and improve the experience.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, necessary account and gameplay processing supports the service you request; security, moderation, and service improvement support our legitimate interests in a safe, functioning network, balanced against your rights. Legal obligations may require particular records or disclosures. Where a feature requires consent, we will request it separately. Accepting our terms is not consent to every use of personal information.
4. Public activity, punishments, and videos
Other players can see your public in-game identity and activity. Our Punishments website may display a player’s username, the type and reason for a punishment, relevant dates, and its status. IP addresses, private reports, and confidential evidence are not intended for public display. Contact support if a record is inaccurate or exposes private information.
We may record events in the shared world and publish edited videos later. Material may remain viewable after you stop playing. We consider privacy and safety when choosing what to publish; this policy does not waive your rights or authorize recording private conversations. If identifiable footage concerns you, tell support which video or event is involved so we can review it. Publication and recording will follow the notice, consent, and other legal requirements that apply to that use.
5. Who receives information
Authorized team members and providers may access information needed for hosting, network security, backups, support, store fulfillment, or moderation. Our infrastructure uses Cloudflare for website delivery and protection. Tebex handles checkout, while Discord handles activity on its platform. The website also connects to mcstatus.io for Minecraft server counts, Discord for community counts, and Minecraft skin providers for player images. These providers receive the connection information needed to respond and may process information for their own purposes as explained in their notices.
We may disclose relevant information when required by law, to respond to a valid legal request, or where lawfully necessary to protect people, investigate abuse, or establish or defend a legal claim. Public content and recordings can be seen and copied by others. A third party’s copy may remain outside our control even if we remove our own.
6. Cookies, storage, and connected features
Essential session cookies protect sign-in, two-factor authentication, and form submissions. Staff article editors can keep unsaved writing in session storage in the current browser tab to support recovery from interrupted saves. Signing out does not remove files you downloaded.
Live player and community counts, Minecraft skins, and embedded videos can request information from external providers. Those providers receive technical details such as your IP address and browser information. YouTube embeds use its privacy-enhanced player; interacting with a video is still subject to YouTube’s privacy practices.
You can manage cookies and browser storage in your browser. Disabling essential storage may prevent sign-in or editing. Ordinary browsing is not consent to optional processing that legally requires it.
7. Retention and security
Retention depends on why information is needed: maintaining active gameplay, investigating an incident, resolving a support case, enforcing a restriction, meeting a legal obligation, or handling a dispute. We review those needs and delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed. Backup copies can remain until the relevant backup is replaced or expires, and published material is considered separately from operational logs.
We limit access to people who need it for their role and use reasonable safeguards for the systems we control. No service can guarantee absolute security. Report a suspected exposure privately through support.
8. International services
Players and providers may be located in different countries, so information may be processed outside your country. The rules protecting information can differ between countries. Contact support for details about relevant providers, processing locations, and safeguards for your information. Transfers must meet any safeguards required by the law that applies.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live and the processing involved, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your information, restrict processing, or withdraw consent. You may also have a right to object to uses based on legitimate interests. Contact support to make a request or raise an objection, including one about public punishment information or a recording.
We may need proportionate information to verify that a request concerns your account. Some records may need to remain for legal obligations, security, or another lawful reason. If a request cannot be fully met, we will explain the reason and any applicable review options. Removing information needed to run your account may end the related service.
You may complain to the data-protection authority where applicable law gives you that right. You do not have to contact us first. For decisions made by our moderation tools, you can request a staff review through support.
10. Children and families
Young players should ask a parent or guardian for help understanding privacy and purchases, and should not share their real name, address, school, or private contact details in the game. Platform age restrictions still apply. A parent or guardian can contact support about a child’s information or activity.
Where parental notice or verified consent is legally required, it must be obtained before the relevant collection or use. If we learn that information was collected without a permission required by law, we will address the issue, including restricting the affected processing and deleting information where required. This notice is not a substitute for parental consent.
11. Updates and contact
We will update this page when our practices change and provide additional notice of material changes where required. The date above identifies this version. For a privacy request or a question about this policy, contact Minasty Support.
